 Janice Newman, Owner / Chief Instructor
Jan was graduated from Hawthorne College with a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Science. In her 30 years of aviation experience, she has worked as a freight pilot, charter pilot, and corporate pilot. She specializes in advanced avionics systems, including Garmin’s G1000, Avidyne’s Entegra and Honeywell’s APEX. In her spare time, she flies as a Pilatus PC-12 NG mentor pilot and volunteers on LightHawk missions and as an FAA Safety Team Representative. But her passion has always been flight instruction.

 Tom Haas, Flight Instructor / A & P
Tom was graduated from Hawthorne College with an Associate’s degree in Aeronautical Science. He has been flying for 35 years, including work as a corporate pilot and running a charter operation. He is devoted to aviation safety, and has volunteered with AOPA’s Air Safety Foundation (ASF) for a number of years. He currently sits on the ASF board of visitors.
Tom is also a board member and volunteer pilot with LightHawk, and, in his spare time, pilots his Pilatus PC-12 NG.

 Tennese Garvey, Flight Instructor / Ground School Instructor
Tennese hails from Kingston, Jamaica, and was graduated by Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach, FL) with a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Science, and minors in Aviation Business Administration and Information Technology. He brings enthusiasm and passion to instructing, and is excited to create a fun and safe learning environment for his students.
